Balletto di Siena (BdS) was founded in 2012, led by Marco Batti under suggestion of Giuseppe Carbone. It debuted in June 2012 at Teatro dei Rinnovati with Lucifero. Batti recruited highly skilled, versatile dancers, forming a company known for blending classical and contemporary works. Over time, BdS developed a distinctive historical-biographical style. Its collaborations with prestigious institutions like Accademia Chigiana, Andrea Bocelli’s Teatro del Silenzio, and the Spanish Orchestra de Chamber de Siero, along with composers such as Riccardo J. Moretti, have enriched its productions, making an impact both in Italy and abroad.
